A nationwide summer competition platform through the United Soccer League — providing high-level training and competitive games for top Arlington Soccer players during the summer months.
About the USL Youth Program
The USLY is a nationwide summer competition platform operated by the United Soccer League. Arlington Soccer offers players the opportunity to continue developing with professional coaches while competing against top clubs in the region — outside of the traditional fall and spring travel seasons.
Program Purpose

- USL Youth teams are separate from Arlington Soccer Travel teams
- Travel soccer runs Fall, Winter, and Spring — USL Youth is Summer only
- Travel teams remain intact; USL teams are formed specifically for summer
- The program supplements Arlington's travel program — not a replacement

Tryouts & Registration
Registration is now open for Summer 2026. Current Arlington players are placed collaboratively by coaching staff. Outside players may be invited to a team training session for evaluation.
How to Register
Registration Details
- Registration will be completed through PlayMetrics when open
- Create or update your player profile in advance
- Players will be notified of team placement in early March
- For current Arlington players, teams are formed collaboratively by the coaching staff based on player registrations — not traditional open tryouts
- Players from outside Arlington Soccer may be invited to attend a team training session for evaluation
- Financial aid is available to qualified applicants — families who received aid during the travel season should contact the club directly

Players born after July 31, 2017 may inquire but would only be considered to play up at the discretion of the coaching staff.
Arlington Soccer plans to field both boys and girls teams for all age groups U10–U15 for the 2026 season.
Season Structure
The season runs from mid-June through early August. Teams train twice per week and play approximately 7–10 games against other USL Youth clubs in the region.

Teams that perform well in league play may qualify for the USL Youth League Finals — typically held in Florida in early December. Arlington Soccer has won five USL Youth National Championships.

There is no national finals event for U10 teams.

Arlington Soccer has a strong tradition of success in this competition, including five USL Youth National Championships.
Coaching Staff
Teams are coached by licensed professional coaches from Arlington Soccer, under the supervision of the club's Director of Coaching. Both boys and girls programs are staffed for all U10–U15 age groups.
