The Association's Bylaws and the policies established by the three Program Committees reflect Arlington Soccer's commitments, values, and vision. Through these Bylaws and policies, authority is delegated to Arlington Soccer's staff and standing committees. These documents serve as guiding frameworks to ensure the efficient, consistent, and transparent management of the Association's affairs.
Arlington Soccer believes its professional staff should take all necessary action to reduce and eliminate conflicts of interest and to avoid the likelihood and appearance of any conflict of interest in putting the best interests of players and families first.
For these matters, a conflict of interest is defined as a situation where an employee of the Club acts in a manner that benefits themselves directly and inappropriately, or acts similarly in a manner that benefits the family of the staff person. Such conflicts are not only financial but can also include any other benefit accrued to the staff person directly and personally.
With respect to the Competitive and Development programs:
- Coaches, Directors, and Age Group Managers may not conduct or receive payment for private, semi-private, or small-group training arranged independently with Arlington players or families from any player or family on their current team or age groups over whom they have decision-making authority.
- Coaches must disclose to the Club if they are involved in the tryout evaluation or selection of a player from outside the Club who has paid them for private, semi-private, or small-group training sessions.
