Player of the Month - September 2026

Jordan McMillen

JMU Dukes alumnus Jordan McMillen, who made 48 appearances during his collegiate career, is off to a strong start to the Fall 2026 campaign with Arlington SA’s UPSL team.

Through the team’s first five matches, McMillen has appeared in four, earning three starts while recording 1 goal and 3 assists from the back line. His ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball makes him a valuable and versatile presence for Arlington.

With his consistency, defensive ability, and willingness to get forward and create opportunities in the attack, McMillen continues to show why he is an important piece of the Arlington SA back line.

Coach of the Month - September 2026

Coach Jesse Starkey

This month, we're celebrating Coach Starkey, who is now in his 3rd season leading the 1st Grade Girls Rec Soccer Team - The Sunflowers. Coach Starkey has become a beloved fixture for this 1st grade team, and it's easy to see why.

As one team parent shared: "His love for soccer is undeniable, but what is most impressive is his patience and enthusiasm for working with these students. I am positive if my daughter had received a different coach — or one that didn't care as much — we would not still be doing soccer. We keep coming back because we love the environment that Coach has created for our girls and our families."

Coach Starkey's dedication goes beyond teaching soccer skills — he's built a supportive, joyful environment where kids fall in love with the game and families feel like part of a community.
