Coach Philipp was born and raised in Dortmund, Germany, and holds a UEFA B License and is a candidate for the UEFA A License, with over 20 years of coaching experience. He coached youth and men's teams at the highest level in Germany and worked for the professional Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus before joining Arlington Soccer Association. Under his guidance, the men's team won the UPSL regular season championship and was crowned divisional playoff champions four times, making four appearances in the national tournament. Coach Philipp also holds two law degrees and worked as head of legal for an international company for over a decade.
