Girls ECNL Academy Program

The Arlington Soccer Girls Academy Program represents the highest level of girls’ soccer within the club and is recognized as one of the top programs in Virginia.


Competing in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), Arlington’s Girls Academy offering elite-training, high-level competition, exposure, and a development-focused environment that prepares players for the next levels of the game.


Arlington Soccer has a strong track record of collegiate placement, while also providing players with opportunities for U.S. Youth National Team (USYNT) identification and exposure.

Player Development & Philosophy


The Arlington Soccer Travel Program emphasizes holistic player development, focusing on more than just competition. Players grow through a structured approach that develops technical skill, tactical understanding, physical ability, and mental and social strength, while also fostering character, responsibility, and strong habits.  The goal is to develop smart, skilled players, committed teammates, and well-rounded individuals prepared for success on and off the field.

Training Structure


  • 10 month training / league game calendar:
  • 2 team training sessions, 1 goalkeeper training session & 1 performance training session during the summer and winter pre-seasons.
  • 3 team training sessions, 2 goalkeeper training sessions & 1 performance training session per week during fall / spring seasons.
  • Periodized schedule to focus on development and reduce the risk of injury and maximize team performance.
  • Performance training with periodic physical testing / evaluation.
  • Seasonal consultation sessions including sports specific psychology, nutrition to enhance performance, and college recruitment.
  • Formal and informal individual player development plans and evaluations.
  • Specific goalkeeper training with our Girls ECNL Academy Goalkeeping Staff.
  • Professionally licensed coaching staff.
  • Coaching Staff will college experience to help players with recruitment process.
  • Certified Performance Coaches who track individual player progress and conduct seasonal fitness testing to tailor performance training needs of all players.
  • Matches are regularly attended by US Soccer Scouts in addition to individual conference and nationally held Talent ID sessions.

Tryout Process


Arlington Soccer Travel Program tryouts are held every Spring for the following fall-to-spring soccer year.


Tryout Process

  1. Players register for tryouts online
  2. Attend tryout sessions by age group
  3. Coaches evaluate:
  • Technical ability
  • Tactical awareness
  • Physical attributes
  • Attitude and teamwork


Players selected for teams receive offers and commit for the full soccer year, including the fall, summer, and spring seasons. 

Club & Team Fees


Club fees vary by team. Differences in Club Fees are primarily due to league participation and optional training opportunities, depending on level.


PLEASE NOTE: Non-Arlington County residents will be assessed an additional full-year non- resident pass-through fee.

Commitment


When a player commits to an Arlington Soccer ECNL Academy Team and completes the registration, the player is considered to be registered at Arlington Soccer. Each player is bound to Arlington Soccer for the seasonal year, which runs from July 1st to June 30th of the following year and the family is obligated to fulfill the financial obligations for that seasonal year.


Deposit & Payment Information


A non-refundable deposit is required for all age groups. Arlington Soccer Association allows parent to pay the full club and team fee balances in advance or a interest-free payment plan, excluding the initial deposit.
