Travel Camps and Clinics 

ASA’s Travel Program provides camps and clinics during the off season to help develop players outside of the team practices. Travel camps are open to ASA Travel players and comparable travel programs in the area.

 

2018 Winter Camps and Clinics 

ASA will offer numerous programs specific to travel players to address technical and tactical areas of the game. Training locations will be determined closer to the clinic dates. Please review the options below.

 

Viper Fit and 2v3 to Goal (U13 and older)

Viper Fit is a program designed to improve a player’s speed, agility and strength using soccer-specific movements and exercises similar to those used in game situations.

Crossing and Finishing (U13 and older)

Training designed to improve a player’s crossing and finishing ability in game situations.

Dates and Times:

January 7th – February 11th, 2018

Sundays, 11:15 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.

 

GK Training (U13 and older)

Goalkeeper Specific Training to Improve Technical and Physical Acumen for GKs.

Finishing and Shooting  (U9 – U15)

Training designed to improve a player’s shooting technique and finishing skills in game situations.

GK Training (U9 – U12)

Goalkeeper specific training to improve technical and physical acumen for GKs.

Ball Mastery and Footskills (U9 – U12)

Training designed to improve a player’s familiarity and mastery of technical foot skills on the ball.

ASA Winter Performance Training Program

ASA is excited to announce its Winter Performance Training Program. The fun and educational program will focus on improving functional movement patterns critical to performance on the field and reducing the chance of injury. Every session will include work in the following areas: mobility, stability, power, speed, strength and quickness.

The program will teach the athletes exercises that improve recovery and maintain performance throughout the year. Each athlete will receive a packet of these exercises for reference.

We will test the athletes in the beginning and at the end of the program to track their progress. We will be using the elite technology of Fusion Sport Smartspeed and Smartjump equipment for the most accurate results. The testing will include:  vertical jump, broad jump, ground contact time, 30 yd sprint, 5-10-5 pro agility, reaction and diagonal cutting tests with and without the ball, 300 yd shuttle. *Athletes not participating in the winter program can attend testing. $15 for 1 test, $25 for both*

The program will run for 12 weeks starting 11/27 and ending 2/22. There will not be training the week of 12/25.

The program is designed for athletes to attend one or two sessions a week and will run Monday-Thursday. The U9-U13 session will be from 5-6:30 and the U14-U19 session from 6:30-8. Monday and Tuesday will be the “A” sessions with Wednesday and Thursday being the “B” sessions. Maximum improvement will come from attending one “A” session and one “B” session per week.

The program is designed for all athletes involved in ASA programs. We encourage any player with ambition to improve their skills and technique in their physical preparation to enroll.

Full Winter Performance Training Program- $275. 2x/week training for 12 weeks. Corrective Exercise Packet. Both physical testing days.

Half Winter Performance Training Program- $175. 1x/week training for 12 weeks. Corrective Exercise Packet. Both physical testing days.

All registrants will receive an email from the ASA Winter Performance Training Staff with specifics on day(s) for your player to attend.
