Development Academy Updates:
Arlington Soccer Association’s 2005B DA team brought home a hard-fought 2-1 record from the Boys’ East Regional Showcase held the past weekend (October 27 – 29) at BB&T Soccer Park in Advance, North Carolina.  Arlington played three spirited games over two days, topping BW Gottschee Academy (NY) 2-1, and New York Cosmos 4-1 on Friday afternoon, before falling to NEFC (MA) 1-2 late Saturday.
Arlington Soccer Association’s 2004B DA team also participated in the East Regional Showcase this weekend.  The team had a 1-1-1 record.  The 2004 team played three games over two days, starting the weekend off with a 3-2 win over Oakwood Soccer (CT) on Saturday morning, followed by a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon against BW Gottschee Academy (NY).  Sunday morning was a tough 4-1 loss against a very competitive NEFC (MA.)
Arlington players, coaches and parents should be pleased with the team’s performance and the opportunity to participate in this event, which brings together dozens of Development Academy clubs from up-and-down the East Coast to compete in a series of highly-competitive, hand-picked games.  Host site BB&T Soccer Park proved to be up to the task, and is an excellent soccer complex offering well-maintained, all-natural playing fields along the Yadkin river and Interstate 40 just outside Winston-Salem.
