Silent Soccer is an event where all adults –parents, coaches and fans– are to offer no coaching of any kind while the 2nd grade and older rec players are on the field.

This is an annual event, and is designed to remind adults that the kids are able to play without constant instruction.  Kids not spreading out?  Not a big deal. Billy should have passed the ball instead of dribbled?  Let his teammates tell him that.  Suzy keeps kicking with her toe?  Good thing for the coach to work on in practice next week.

Silent Soccer is about letting the players make their mistakes without having an adult correct it for them. Kindergarten and 1st grade teams will have a normal weekend of soccer, as this event is only for older teams.

Please find more information here about what to expect from this weekend. Have fun out there!
