Score Reporting

Both teams must report the score on game day.

There are two options for reporting game scores:

Option One: Email (preferred reporting method)

Email scores to mpbevis@verizon.net.

Include all necessary information in the "Subject" line:

Date

Age group - Division - Gender

Field

Game time

Own team - score

Other team - score

Referee information

Sample Email Score Report:

Subject: 10/13/07, 12-IG, Bluemont, 8:30, AA-5, Lightning-5, 1 referee present-good job

If you want to add more about the referee, field condition, or other issue, please put that in the body of the message.

Also report any lost or found items at game or practice fields. Items you report are listed on the Lost and Found web page listed under "Quick Links" on the ASA Home page.

Option Two: Telephone

Telephone scores to 703-532-2088, extension 311.
When phoning the score, it is most important to speak very plainly, give the same information as listed above, and, if using a cell phone, ensure that adequate signal strength is available for the entire telephone call.
If you want to add more about the referee or a field issue, it is best to have someone from your team email the details to mpbevis@verizon.net.

Notes:

For U8-U10
Please report the combined score for both games. For example, if field one is Arlington Aces 4, Lightning 6 and field two is Arlington Aces 8, Lightning 8, the reported score would be Arlington Aces 12, Lightning 14.
For U6-U7
Scores are not recorded.
Scores & Standings:
ASA posts scores and standings on the website after the third week of play, usually on Tuesday evenings.
Seedings:
ASA reports seedings on the website after the fifth week of play, also on Tuesday evening. In order for the standings and seedings to accurately reflect the division, it is imperative for game scores to be reported.
