Age Groups for Players
A player's soccer age group is determined by his/her age on the July 31 before the fall season.
 
  •  A player who is 5 on July 31 is in the Under 6 age group for the fall and spring seasons.
  •  A player who is 6 on July 31 is in the Under 7 age group, etc.

Age groups change each fall season.

The easiest way to determine a "soccer age", is to ask, "How old was the child on last July 31?"  
If they were 8, they are in the Under-9 age group.

  • Example:  A girl was 15 on July 31, 2007.  Therefore, she plays in the U-16 age group for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 seasons.
