Looking for additional professional training for your rec player? Arlington Soccer Association offers a variety of options for players that are looking for more:
This program is for players that are between the ages of three and five and who are not yet in kindergarten. The program focuses on body mechanics, a 1:1 player to ball ratio, and lots of fun. All coaches are paid professionals. This is a great introduction to the sport.
Pre-Academy and Academy Program
This program is mainly for 1st and 2nd graders (although this program is grouped by birth year, so there is flexibility). The Pre-Acadamy and Academy programs are for players on recreational teams that want additional training and playing opportunities. Coaches are all paid professionals and training is done in an enjoyable environment focused on individual techniques. No specific GK training is provided.
Rec Goalkeeper Training
Arlington Soccer Association offers a 4-week goalkeeper camp that runs during the spring season. It is tailored towards new players to the position and is focused on individual techniques that are all taught by professional goalkeeper coaches. Four different options are always offered so your player will never need to miss any of their regular team practices.
For those beginner/intermediate goalkeepers that want more, we also offer 7-week paid clinics for the goalkeepers who want more consistent coaching in the position, for longer periods of time. Find what works best for you, and develop confidence in this specialized position.
Throughout the year, primarily in the summer and winter months, Arlington Soccer offers a variety of supervised drop-in soccer (also known as pick-up or street soccer) activities. Many of these occur in the off-season or on days that school is not in session but when many parents still have to work. Each location is staffed with Arlington Soccer coaches and/or parent volunteers who help organize and supervise play.
Camps and Clinics
Arlington Soccer offers a whole catalog of spring break, summer and winter camps for players of all ages and ability levels! We even have specific camps for goalkeepers only.
