    Badara Dia
    , who goes by "Papa Dia", plays and coaches soccer here in Arlington. He is the head coach for the boys and girls soccer teams at Kenmore Middle School. He also coaches the Arlington Travel Soccer Club's U10 Arlington Strikers White team.

    Papa returned home to his home in Mali, West Africa, this summer and took leftover jerseys from the Arlington Player Development Clinics.

  • Madaoua, Niger, North Africa

    Christopher Spangler
    is a former ASA player, coach, referee and ATSC player.  He worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madaoua, Niger, in North Africa from September 2005 to September 2007. 

    While in Madaoua, Chris coached one of the first middle-school girls soccer teams. See his An African Soccer Adventure story of the girls' trip to their first "travel" soccer game.
